The National Irrigation Administration- Region 7 (NIA-R7) joins the nationwide NIA Synchronized Tree Planting Activity and transplanted a total of 4,073 seedlings varying from hardwood, bamboo, and fruit-bearing trees in several watersheds in the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, and Negros Oriental.

This nationwide tree-planting activity with the theme “Trees Water Life 2022” is in support of the Government’s National Greening Program (NGP) and serves as NIA's post-celebration affair for its 59th Founding Anniversary.

NIA-7 employees and Irrigators’ Associations’ (IAs) farmer-members worked together to preserve the watershed, mitigate the impact of climate change, and hopefully replace the fallen trees in areas battered by Typhoon Odette last December 2021.
