In celebration of National Women’s Month (NWM), National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 conducts an Orientation Seminar on RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 or VAWC) and RA 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995) on March 29, 2022, at NIA-7 Covered Court, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Atty. Delañarose A. del Rosario, a lawyer, and a professor at the University of Bohol was invited to speak in this one-day NWM Culmination to educate the employees of NIA R7 on the existing laws protecting them from abuse or harassment, encouraging all men and women to stand up for themselves and for others.
Drivers and Operators passes NCII Assessment
The National Irrigation Administration 7 Bohol Siquijor Office's drivers and operators undertake NC II Assessment through Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)in Tubigon Bohol Branch on Saturday March 26,2022.
This one day activity assesses the 5 participants through an interview, written test and actual driving skills demonstration. The TESDA center administrator gladly facilitated the said activity together with Johnard C. Zabate-assessor and May-Anne E. Zabate TESD Specialist I.
The competency of the drivers and operators seal the alignment in the office's quality management system.
NIA R7 IDOS ATTEND IDP IMPLEMENTERS PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING
National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 newly hired Irrigators Development Officers (IDOs) participate in the Institutional Development Program (IDP) Implementers Pre-Deployment Training hosted by NIA Region 4A at Pila, Laguna on March 14-19, 2022.
This 5-day program, facilitated by speakers from NIA Central Office IDD headed by Division Manager Dr. Leo Gallego, aims to ensure that the IDOs are adept in social investigation, mobilization and groundwork-- ready to set out in their respective fieldwork.
A total of 6 IDOs participated from NIA Region 7. Two among them are from Bohol namely Charlyne Dapetilla and Ma. Fe Bautista, and four from Cebu namely Renan Geraldez, Jomarie Obeneta, Nhel John Cartesiano, and Kenneth Allan Casino.
