March 24, 2022

National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 newly hired Irrigators Development Officers (IDOs) participate in the Institutional Development Program (IDP) Implementers Pre-Deployment Training hosted by NIA Region 4A at Pila, Laguna on March 14-19, 2022.

This 5-day program, facilitated by speakers from NIA Central Office IDD headed by Division Manager Dr. Leo Gallego, aims to ensure that the IDOs are adept in social investigation, mobilization and groundwork-- ready to set out in their respective fieldwork.

A total of 6 IDOs participated from NIA Region 7. Two among them are from Bohol namely Charlyne Dapetilla and Ma. Fe Bautista, and four from Cebu namely Renan Geraldez, Jomarie Obeneta, Nhel John Cartesiano, and Kenneth Allan Casino.

IDOs from NIA UPRIIS, Region 1, Region 4A, Region 4B, IDD-CARP, and the IDD-CO also participated in the event. Those who were hired since the start of the Covid Pandemic and were not able to undergo this preparation due to travel restrictions have finally been primed.

After the training, the IDP implementers were equipped with knowledge and skills vital in performing the job and can now integrate safely and quickly into the field as community organizers. They now have a proper discernment as to their tasks and their involvement before, during, and after the project construction.
