NIA R7 EMPLOYEES COMPLETE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING

TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL- Employees of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 learn life-saving techniques as they complete the Occupational First Aid and Basic Life Support Training at the Central Visayas Training Center.

This two-day workshop which spans from March 16-17, 2022 was facilitated by The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) through the PRC Safety Service Instructors Abriel Joseph M. Aton, Eric W. Sisco, and Yanick D.H. Epitalon.

RM UGAY CONQUERS JAMPACKED SCHED IN SIQUIJOR VISIT

National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 Acting Regional Manager Engr. Reyne B. Ugay visits Siquijor on March 10, 2022.

In his one-day visit, Engr. Ugay undertakes a series of activities together with IDS Chief Elvira Alvarado, Industrial Design Specialist Lenie C. Salinas and Engineering, Construction and Operation Chief of Bohol-Siquijor Office, Engr. Evaristo R. Borja.

The team paid courtesy to Governor Zaldy S. Villa and Lazi Mayor James D. Monte in their respective offices. The officials showed support as they presented the agency's 2022 project implementations and future project development plans for the Province of Siquijor.

NIA 7 ENSURES RESISTIVITY VALUE OF PROJECTS IN CALUNASAN AND CATIGBIAN

BOHOL- National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 conducts Georesistivity Survey at Catigbian Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP) in Calape, Bohol, and Calunasan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP) on March 10-12, 2022.

Resident Geologist Efren Gabriel Alvarado and R10 Geologist Briana Bautista assessed possible internal erosion and piping through dam body and foundation as well as to determine and/or locate

any possible sinkholes and cavity formations.

This Georesistivity Survey is a geophysical technique that utilizes an instrument called a resistivity-meter to determine the nature of materials in the subsurface and its resistivity values.

YEAR-END SMES PRESENTATION OF LINE PROJECTS

The Institutional Development Section (IDS) of National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 7 joins in the 2021 Year-End Supervision, Monitoring, Evaluation and Support (SMEs) Presentation of Line Projects virtually hosted by NIA Central Office on March 7-11, 2022.

Gathered at the NIA 7 Conference Room, the region presented its accomplishments for the eleven (11) Line Projects in Central Visayas: (1) Benliw Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP), (2) Bonotbonot SRIP, (3) Calunasan SRIP, (4) Hibale SRIP,(5) Mabini-Cayacay SRIP, (6) Catigbian Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP), (7) Bohol Northeast Integrated Irrigation Project, and ( 8 ) Malinao Dam Irrigation Project (IP), (9) Sta. Agueda IP, (10) Amlan IP, and (11) Tanjay-Bais IP.
