BLESSING & TURN-OVER OF CAMBAGUIO SIP IN BAIS CITY, NEGROS ORIENTAL

Farmers from Bais City, Negros Oriental now enjoys new irrigation facility as the Cambaguio Small Irrigation Project was turned-over to Cambaguio-Odiongan Irrigators' Association (CAMBODIA) on September 24, 2021.

The total cost of this irrigation project is 5 million sourced from the CY 2020 Leadership Fund of National Irrigation Administration – Negros Oriental Satellite Office (NIA-NOSO).

This project was completed with utmost efficiency under the supervision of NIA project-in-charge Engr. Melquio S. Sienes and Irrigator's Development Officer Ms. Ma. Elena E. Belnas with assistance from CAMBODIA, under the leadership of Mr. Bienvenido A. Devibar.

Bakinayao Farmers-Irrigators' Association undergoes Pre-construction Conference/Meeting with NIA R7 last August 18, 2021 at Bentig Covered Court, Brgy. Bentig, Calape, Bohol to discuss the Construction of Calunasan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (Lined Canal and Canal Structures) in Calape, Bohol.

The huddle aims to present the proposed NIA-IA- Contractors' Policies and Systems of Construction during project implementation.

The contractor of the Php14,142,499.17 project (Source of Fund: SRIP) is Gerson Construction and Hardware Supply.

NIA7'S PHANTOM 4 RTK DRONE TAKES FLIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME

NIA Region 7 personnel put to test the newly purchased Phantom 4 RTK Drone in an actual field flight and data gathering/mapping in Ubay, Bohol last week.

The P474 thousand-worth equipment was purchased by the office to support the full adoption of the Farmland Geographic Information System database in irrigation systems and to aid in upscaling its operation and maintenance monitoring.

VITAMINS DISTRIBUTION FOR ALL NIA-R7 RO EMPLOYEES

TAGBILARAN CITY- To boost its employees’ immune system against Covid-19, National Irrigation Administration Region 7 Regional Office (NIA-R7 RO) distributed 120 boxes of Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid with Zinc), today.

NIA R7 does not take the threat of Covid-19 lightly hence, they allotted 100 capsules of vitamins per employee to make sure each has access to such supplement that will last them three months if taken daily.

According to the World Health Organization, micronutrients such as Vitamin C, are critical for a well-functioning immune system and play an important role in promoting health and nutritional well-being.

NIA Region 7 field personnel conduct inspection in Bonotbonot SRIP Package #6 for its Final Billing in Lilo-an Norte, Inabanga, Bohol with a project cost of P6, 607, 928.05.

Present in the inspection were Project-In-Charge Engr. Melchorito V. Gucor, Inspectorate Team Engr. Andrew Anto and Alfredo Majometano, Foreman Jorge Gentiles, Irrigation Development Officer Ma. Fe J. Bautista, Office Clerk Mary Grace D. Palarion, Irrigation Association President Justino N. Logroño and Vice President Noel dela Torre.

There were findings made by the inspectorate team that the contractors need to comply to. Currently, rectifications of these findings are ongoing.
