CATMONAN CALAPE – On Tuesday, January 30, 2018, the National Irrigation Administration Regional Office 7 thru the Bohol Irrigation Management Office, formally transferred the operation and maintenance of the newly finished extension project of Suhoton-Catmonan Communal Irrigation System to its beneficiaries, the Suhoton-Catmonan Irrigators Association, Inc. of Barangay Catmonan, Calape Bohol, headed by its president Trifona D. Salaum.

GINOPOLAN VALENCIA – On Tuesday, January, 2018, the National Irrigation Administration Regional Office 7, through the Bohol Irrigation Management Office formally conveyed the operation and maintenance of the newly accomplished extension project of Ginopolan Communal Irrigation System to its beneficiaries, the Ginopolan Anoyon Irrigators Association, Inc. of Barangay GInopolan, Valencia Bohol, headed by its president Aquilino U. Cagatin.

The turnover ceremony began at around 9:00 o’clock in the morning which was attended by the NIA R7 personnel, IA officers and members, government officials both from the local and provincial level.

RM Bugacia conveys operation of Cambaol CIS to IA

CAMBA-OL ALICIA – On Thursday, September 14, the National Irrigation Administration 7 Regional Irrigation Manager Ramon A. Bugacia formally conveyed the rehabilitated Cambaol Communal Irrigation System to the Cambaol Irrigators Association Inc. of Brgy. Camba-ol Alicia, Bohol headed by IA President Luis A. Hinautan.

During his second CIS turnover as RM of R7, Bugacia expressed his happiness on the transfer of the newly rehabilitated Cambaol CIS to the IA and commended the Barangay Council’s support and active participation led by its Punong Barangay.

Bugacia assured the farmers that canal extensions will be undergone to increase the service areas that may be covered to increase cropping production.

LONOY JAGNA – On Thursday, September 7, 2017, the National Irrigation Administration Regional Office 7 formally conveyed the use and maintenance of the newly constructed Upper Cansuhay Communal Irrigation system to the Irrigators Association of Barangay Lonoy, Jagna Bohol.

Engr. Ramon A. Bugacia, the newly installed Regional Irrigation Manager personally facilitated the turnover.

It was his first attended CIS turnover ceremony since assuming his new assignment as head of NIA R7 last August 16, 2017.

In his turnover message, Bugacia told the IA beneficiaries to take good care of the irrigation systems because it will be for their own benefit.

LOBOC BOHOL – On Thursday, September 7, 2017, the newly installed Regional Irrigation Manager of NIA Region 7, Engr. Ramon A. Bugacia paid a courtesy visit to Loboc Mayor Helen C. Alaba to discuss NIA’s projects.

After attending his first CIS turnover in Jagna Bohol as new R7 Irrigation Manager, Bugacia without prior notice proceeded to visit Mayor Alaba to discuss improvements, repairs and additional construction of irrigation system projects in Loboc.

NIA 7 gets veteran chief from Mindanao irrigation projects

TAGBILARAN CITY, August 19, 2017 (PIA) --The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) in Region 7 based in Bohol has a new regional manager in the veteran from five regional assignments throughout his 39 years in the irrigation agency service.

Here to replace Engr. Modesto Membreve, who has to be reassigned to Region IV-A, is a 63 year old native of Midsayap, South Cotabato, Engr. Ramon A. Bugacia.

It may be recalled that the NIA administrator Ricardo Visaya issued Memorandum Circular No. 52, series of 2017, which detailed the NIA Regional Leadership Map.

The memorandum acknowledged the recognized need for the regional irrigation managers to continuously enrich their repertoire of skills and knowledge to further enhance their leadership and managerial qualities.

Tagbilaran City – After gracing the successful groundbreaking of two Small Reservoir Irrigation Projects (SRIPs) in Ubay and Buenavista, Bohol, NIA Administrator Gen. Ricardo R. Visaya (Ret.) on his two-day official visit to province committed a brief time to meet the management and staff of the NIA Regional Office VII headed by Engr. Modesto G. Membreve.

During the meeting held at the Central Visayas Training Center on June 27, 2017, Admin. Visaya discussed his 4- Point Agenda which will help steer the agency with respect to its current situation and in unison to the campaign of President Duterte’s administration – Against corruption and uplifting the lives of the farmers.

TAGBILARAN CITY, June 27, (PIA)—Gipasalig na ni National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Administrator Ricardo Visaya nga pangitaan nila og pundo alang sa katumanan sa P10 bilyones nga Bohol Northeast Basin (BNB).

Didto sa iyang labing unang gitambongan nga pag-lihi sa Benliw Small Reservoir Irrigation Project (SRIP) human sa tulo ka buwan nga paglingkod isip administrador sa NIA, gipadayag niya nga may 19,400 na lang ka ektarya nga luna sa Bohol ang mahimong kapatubigan.

Gikan sa 44,000 ka ektarya, napatubigan na ang dakong bahin niini dala sa mga higante nga proyektong patubig sa mga kabasakan nga una na nga natukod.

NIA breaks ground for P1.2B irrigation facilities in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, June 27, (PIA)--In a day, the government through the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) broke ground for some a total of P1.2 billion in two small reservoir impounding projects (SRIP) that would critically boost Bohol's rice production in the region.

No less than NIA Administrator Ricardo Visaya and Boholano Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco led local and NIA officials in breaking ground for the P595,000,000.00 Benliw SRIP in Ubay and the P620,000,000.00 Bonotbonot SRIP in Buenavista, June 26.

NIA breaks ground for P725M  Cayacay-Mabini irrigation project

TAGBILARAN CITY, May 26, (PIA)--Former Agriculture Secretary and non Bohol Third District Representative Arthur Yap led local officials in breaking ground and laying the time capsule for the P725 million irrigation facility that would be a new hope for at least 320 poor farmers of Mabini Bohol.

With Yap were Mabini Mayor Juanito Jayoma Jr., Alicia Mayor Marnilou Ayuban's representative Panfilo Olaguir, National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Manager Modesto Membreve, Abaca barangay Captain Silverio Miano, Engr Glen Doloritos for Gov Edgar Chatto, Cabulao Mabini Irrigators Association Vice President Juan Amores, irrigation association presidents Felipe Tutor, Maria Ayuban, and Exequiel Nudalo.
