Earlier today, NIA Region 7 Regional Manager Engr. Reyne B. Ugay initiated a series of meetings with DOLE, DPWH, and DSWD to personally discuss what and how the farmers and the Irrigators’ Associations of Central Visayas can avail the programs and services offered by the said agencies.
RM Ugay together with Operations Acting Section Chief Engr. Maria Donesa Autida and Administrative Services Chief Ms. Elvira Alvarado discussed possible convergence to synchronize interventions of agencies and speed-up delivery of services and resources to the farmers.
National Irrigation Administration, through the leadership of the Acting Administrator, Engr. Eddie G. Guillen, is mandated to strengthen inter-agency linkages and partnerships through convergence programs for the farmer-irrigators particularly on hunger mitigation, food and nutrition security, and poverty alleviation/wealth creation.
RM Ugay met with DOLE-7 Regional Director Lilia Estillore, DPWH-7 Planning Personnel, and the DSWD Social Welfare Officer Ms. Emma F. Patalinghug to explore possible convergence of programs which will benefit the farmers.
