National Irrigation Administration (NIA) -Central Office IDD evaluates the GBL Irrigators' Association, Inc. of the Municipality of Ubay, Bohol for its Nationwide Search for Most Outstanding IA of CY 2023- National Irrigation System Category.
GBL headed by its IA President Ms. Divina L. Salaum, contends in the search for the first time after being chosen among all top performing IAs in the Central Visayas.
Located at Brgy. Gabi, Ubay, Bohol, GBL Irrigators' Association has 270 IA members and a total of 286 hectares of area dedicated to rice farming irrigated by NIA Region 7's Bayongan Irrigation System.
The auditors headed by Acting Chief Irrigators Association Organization & Capacity Building Section-IDD Maricel M. Del Rosario looked into its Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Performance, Financial Performance, Organization and Organizational Discipline, Assistance Program, and Linkages with GOs, NGOs, LGUs and others.
The winner of this nationwide search shall be announced on NIA's 60th Anniversary on June and will receive 1-million peso worth of Greenhouse Project with a livelihood grant.
