Designers and Geologists from NIA Central Office visited NIA Region 7 last October 11, 2021 to supervise the Check Hole Water Pressure Testing in Calunasan SRIP located in Calape, Bohol.

Supervising Geologist Vincent Jo Mark Abrigo, and Senior Geologist Bienvenido R. Peciller II spent the whole day onsite to make sure that the soon to rise dam will have a strong foundation.
Calunasan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project is located at the 1st District of Bohol covering the barangays of Calunasan, Abucayan Sur, Lucob & Bentig in the town of Calape.
This new zoned earthfill-type irrigation project has a service area of 300 hectares that will benefit 400 farmers in the district.
The construction of the Dam Contract started last January 11, 2019 and is expected to complete on February 2023 with a revised contract cost of Php500,181,950.83.
