
As it welcomes a new leader, National Irrigation Administration Region 7 conducts a Turnover Ceremony of Regional Leadership at the Covered Court, NIA Regional Office 7 Compound, Dao District, Tagbilaran City, Bohol on October 28, 2021.
In the ceremony presided by NIA Administrator Gen Ricardo R Visaya (Ret), outgoing Regional Manager Engr. Wilson M. Lopez passed on the leadership of NIA Region 7 to incoming Acting Regional Manager Engr. Reyne B. Ugay.
Engr. Lopez has served this region for more than two years before his latest appointment to his home region, Region 4-A. While Engr. Ugay worked as the Acting Division Manager for Design and Specification in NIA Central Office before being appointed as Acting Regional Manager of this region.
NIA OIC Deputy Administrator for Administrative and Finance Sector Engr. Freddie M. Toquero, Ph.D, read the citation of the Plaque of Appreciation awarded to Engr. Lopez for his service to the region.
The men and women of NIA Region 7 also prepared a token for their outgoing manager, Engr. Wilson M. Lopez, who in return thanked the staff for their support. “Region 7 has been my home away from home,” he said.
A symbolic turnover of NIA Flag and a signing of Relinquishment and Assumption Order commenced at the ceremony.
On this day, Engr. Reyne B. Ugay has formally assumed the duties and responsibilities as the Acting Regional Manager of Region 7. In his speech, RM Ugay announced his vigor to be of service to the farmers of region 7, which includes the updating of the irrigable areas in the region.
The NIA R7 Top Management and staff were present in the event along with the Bohol Irrigation Management Office. Negros Oriental Satellite Office and Cebu Office attended the ceremony virtually. Staff from Administrator’s Office and Public Affairs and Information Staff (PAIS) were also there to assist in the proper execution of the ceremony.
Before the event finally concluded, Administrator Visaya said in his inspiring speech, “Do everything that should be done with promptness and efficiency. Be a good and effective leader to the people under your office, so that you may foster a healthy and productive working team and environment.”
