
The National Irrigation Administration Cebu Office organized an Oath Taking and Induction Ceremony of the newly elected Cluster 4 BOTs and Officers and a Planning Meeting on December 4, 2021 at the Danasan Eco Farm, Danasan, Danao City, Cebu.
Hon. Thomas Mark H. Durano, Vice Mayor of Danao City was the inducting officer. In his message, he thanked NIA for the services it provided for the people in the city where he is serving. He added that one of his major programs is in the same direction with NIA, and that is to promote farming and support our local farmers. He further shared his commitment in supporting our IAs in their future endeavors.
Ms. Elvira H. Alvarado, IDU Chief of Cebu IMO together with Mr. Ramir Batumalake, Sr. IDO facilitated the planning meeting after the oath taking and induction ceremony. During the planning meeting, Ms. Alvarado introduced the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program of the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Zero Hunger to the Cluster 4 BOTS and Officers. She shared the opportunities and the benefits the program can offer to them should they tie up and partner with more partner agencies. She further encouraged the farmers to plant vegetables that are more likely in demand to the partner agencies.
Cluster 4, the Northern Cebu Federation of Irrigators Inc. is comprised of three districts— Districts 4, 5 and 6 of the Province of Cebu. The officers are the following:
