COA AND NIA REGION VII HOLD EXIT CONFERENCE ON AUDIT RESULTS

The Commission on Audit (COA) conducted an Exit Conference with and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region VII today, March 27, 2025, at the CVTC Function Room, Dao, Tagbilaran City, to discuss audit results.

The meeting was led by COA's OIC-Audit Team Leader under the Corporate Board Sector, Ms. Jennifer P. Adolfo, and attended by NIA Region VII auditees headed by Acting Regional Manager Engr. Antonio B. Gujeling.

The conference served as a platform to discuss the results of the audit, focusing on the Summary of Audit Observations and Recommendations (SAOR) and the Status of Implementation of Prior Years' Audit Recommendations (SIPYAR). The discussions emphasized areas for improvement, compliance with financial and operational standards, and measures to enhance transparency and efficiency in NIA Region VII’s operations.

During the conference, Ms. Adolfo presented key audit findings and recommendations, highlighting the importance of addressing prior audit observations to strengthen governance and accountability.

Engr. Gujeling, together with the attending NIA personnel, acknowledged the audit results and expressed commitment to implementing the necessary corrective actions to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

The cooperation and support demonstrated by the auditees were commendable, reflecting NIA Region VII’s dedication to continuous improvement and good governance.

The Exit Conference concluded with a mutual agreement on the steps forward, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to enhancing operational effectiveness and financial integrity.
