NIA R7 Acting Regional Manager Engr. Reyne B. Ugay with Bohol-Cebu-Siquijor Irrigation Management Office Acting Division Manager Engr. Danilo M. Bugnos, Jr. met with the Municipal Mayor and Barangay Captains of Tuburan, Cebu yesterday, August 10, 2022 at the Lamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Cocohub Village, Brgy. Colonia, Tuburan, Cebu.
Being one of the guests in the meeting for Bamboo Planting Activity organized by the Municipal Agriculture Office of Tuburan, Engr. Ugay took the opportunity to ask for the support and coordination of the LGU on the proposed project in the Municipality, the Languyon River-Tuburan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project which is now at its Feasibility Study Stage.
Engr. Bugnos presented the result of the conducted Pre-Feasibility Study and the activities that will be conducted during the full-blown Feasibility Study. Furthermore, he asked for the permission of the Municipality of Tuburan and each of the barangay captains representing the 23 affected barangays to allow NIA entry to conduct the feasibility study.
Mayor Democrito “Aljun” Diamante was affirmative of the project and expressed his support in any activities to be conducted by NIA for the realization of the project in the municipality.
